Torche

Foscarini

A wall applique envisioned by Rodolfo Dordoni and developed by Cimadoro and Mauro, now at the helm of Dordoni Studio, Torche stems from a very precise functional need, drawing inspiration from a true archetype of light: the torch from which it takes its name.

Pure image, functional efficacy and decorative force: Torche is an applique with compact, discreet lines, translating into a hovering presence on the wall. Its silhouette is shaped in perfect harmony with the light flow. The particular cross-section of the cone allows the lamp to hang slightly detached from the wall in the upper part: a detail that allows the light to freely spread towards the wall and  the ceiling, while also screening off the source for enhanced visual comfort.  An additional light spot is directed downward.

Torche stands out for its soft, silky and completely matte finish – available in three different colours – which balances its solid metallic nature, for a particularly sophisticated effect.
