Cord Lamp

Cappellini

A mix between contemporaneity and tradition for Cord Lamp by Werner Aisslinger.

The hanging design of Cord Lamp comes in two sizes, composed of a two-tone sphere made by pairing two shells of striped blown glass which are connected by a ring in embossed metal finished with matte black varnish.

The bottom element is transparent and shiny, whereas the upper one – in colored paste glass, also shiny – is available in amethyst, green and air force blue. These alternating colours and transparencies give Cord Lamp the perfect balance between past and present.

The one-of-a-kind glass shells are the work of expert glassmakers, which allows them to provide warm, enveloping light. Any air bubbles or variation in color are due to the artisanal workmanship of the glass and should be considered an added value in the design.

Cappellini

Cappellini: Italian Designer Furniture in Sarasota

Cappellini was founded in 1946 by Enrico Cappellini in the Italian Brianza region, north of Milan. Cappellini began as a furniture maker specializing in wooden furniture and case goods. After Enrico’s son Giulio joined the company, bringing a passion for art & design, Cappellini experienced a creative evolution that has placed them at the forefront in the world of design and furnishings.
Cappellini’s collections are known for tapping new trends and far-flung talents; often described as a 'tutti-frutti' affair, with minimalism offered up alongside pop fashion, technology, and amoebic forms. Cappellini is proud to have 18 pieces included in the permanent Design Collection at the Museum of Modern Art.
