The Louis Lounge Chair takes Porada's relationship with wood in a quieter direction. Designed by Patrick Jouin, Louis was developed from an appreciation of both American and Japanese traditions of working with solid wood. Its broad, low profile gives the chair an inviting presence, while the exposed Canaletta walnut frame allows the natural grain to become part of the visual experience. The contrast between the substantial wood structure and generously upholstered seat gives Louis an unusual sense of balance: sculptural enough to command attention, yet relaxed enough to disappear naturally into a living environment.

The frame of these design armchairs is entirely made of solid Canaletta walnut, which emphasises the beauty of the grain of the wood, giving a more organic style to these living room armchairs. The seat with different density padding foam guarantees an extreme comfort and ergonomics. The soft and minimalist lines characterise this seat that can easily fit with all the other elements of the living area, while the low and wide structure through its enveloping seat, guarantees a peerless sense of relaxation.

About the Designer Patrick Jouin
An established talent in French design, he was born in 1967 in Nantes, France. In 1992 he graduated from ENSCI- Les Ateliers in Paris. Patrick Jouin is a designer whose creativity quickly won recognition on the international arena, through important collaborations with prestigious brands and his monographic exhibition at the Pompidou Centre in 2009.
He received the “Compasso d’oro” award in 2011 and became a leading figure in the international design scene. Many of his creations are exhibited in museums around the world, including the “Solid” collection at MoMA in New York. The collaboration with Porada started with the Ella and Louis chairs and it has continued fruitfully since then.
