The Aliante bookshelf by Giulio Cappellini and Rodolfo Dordoni comes in an array of wall-hanging configurations and consists of a metal structure paired with wooden shelves.

The support structure is composed of two polished metal combs; the shelves come with a polished chrome matte varnished finish, in white, anthracite and mud; the shelves are available with a matte or glossy finish, in the colors of the collection, or in natural or wengé-stained oak. The visual impact can also be personalised: in fact, the shelves of the Aliante bookshelves can come in multiple colors.

The shelves are attached to the structure with socket-head screws, whereas the bookshelf attaches to the wall with an expansion hook.

Cappellini was founded in 1946 by Enrico Cappellini in the Italian Brianza region, north of Milan. Cappellini began as a furniture maker specializing in wooden furniture and case goods. After Enrico’s son Giulio joined the company, bringing a passion for art & design, Cappellini experienced a creative evolution that has placed them at the forefront in the world of design and furnishings.
Cappellini’s collections are known for tapping new trends and far-flung talents; often described as a 'tutti-frutti' affair, with minimalism offered up alongside pop fashion, technology, and amoebic forms. Cappellini is proud to have 18 pieces included in the permanent Design Collection at the Museum of Modern Art.
